Inspiration designs sampled on next page.

Font too basic, not enough emphasis, does not compliment the main focus (plane). Do not make the same mistake.

Cover too basic, does not represent the main contention well & does not portray any sub topic in relation to what is being displayed.

White background makes everything else standout, if well executed it can look very professional. Make sure not to have too much content on the front page as it can be unappealing to the intended audience.

Poster Design Process

I had a couple subjects I wanted to design posters for but in the end I changed my idea to bullying since its a global issue that effects millions of people today. Below is my sketches & thumbnails for how I wanted the basis of my 2 posters to look.
This is the final version of my first posters. The intended target audience is towards kids who are being bullying. Although bullying does effect adults & other ages, I think kids are the more appropriate audience to target with bullying because there still young & wouldn't be sure how to approach or deal with the subject. I believe the use of white space is quite effective because it represents the depth of the darkness in which a kid feels to be in when bullied.
This is the final version of my second bullying poster. The target audience intended with this one is towards bullies themselves. Now with both images I decided to use simplicity as a design method because bullying is a touchy subject & I didn't want to over crowd a poster with so many things to the point where the message isn't being conveyed any more. The stop sign with the word bullying inside is a metaphor for Stop bullying. The all black background represents the clarity of bullying & also adds depth to the text & imagery. This method applies to both posters.
